Bipolar Disorder Family Books

Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder

Patty E. Fleener M.S.W.:  This book is full of information and support for both the consumer and family member. If you are a family member feeling lost on what to do, get this book. You can help the person you love with this very painful disorder. You can work together with them using the tools in this book. Full of excellent information. I recommend this to everyone who loves someone with bipolar disorder. It may just save your relationship!

The Bipolar Disorder Survival Guide: What You and Your Family Need to Know

Reader:  As someone struggling with Bipolar Disorder for the past three years, I must say the hardest struggle is getting those around me to understand what I'm going through. While they are supportive - they just don't really "get it". This is a book that's been passed to my husband, my mother, my father, and some other relatives as I try to help them understand the illness so they can be even more supportive. This book really fills the need for information they have. Much recommended!!

Patty E. Fleener:  This book contains excellent material with self management information, etiology, diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder. Up to date information. I recommend this for consumers and families. Good stuff!
