Husband of Person with Bipolar Disorder

I am writing to you today in response to the family letter. My wife has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder for about (2) years now. I deal with the ups and downs of this horrible illness and at times wondered why this was happening to me. I've seen the mania of rapid and unlimited spending, rapid mood swings and the lashing out and... I could go on and on.

The point I am trying to make is this. First of all I do not understand what goes on inside someone who suffers from Bipolar and the like, but it brings me great sadness to hear of anyone wanting to end it all. I've been there.

Second, There is HOPE. When one feels that there is no Hope in the world that too brings me great sadness.

There is HOPE though the POWER and SAVING GRACE of JESUS CHRIST!!! Though HIM all things are possible and reachable. My life that was plagued by my wife's illness, alcohol abuse and just a sense of that there was no hope for me or my family is when a great opening of my eyes occurred. Attending a local church service one Sunday morning and hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ being preached. Since that very first day of hearing the Gospel my life went from hopelessness to Jesus Loves me and He wants to help me and come into my life. HOPE became a very real again. It has been a slow process, but my life has been forever changed as a result of accepting JESUS CHRIST as my personal Savior... and my wife too! We both walk with the LORD and are raising our children in a Loving and Spiritual environment. In times of strife we Trust in the LORD JESUS to bring us though it. Our lives are not without the ups and downs as before (that still happens), but going though life with JESUS CHRIST in the center of it makes it a life with HOPE.

PS I don't know of your spiritual condition, but I just wanted to let you all know that a life of JOY and HOPE is possible and obtainable. Living a life with JESUS CHRIST has endless possibilities, even to become normal again. Think about it. If anyone can heal you it's JESUS CHRIST.
