About Kendra

Kendra Manning is a Dallas native with a range of education. She received her baccalaureate degree in Social Work at the University of North Texas. Additionally, she holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. Kendra is a Licensed Master Social Worker (TX #105884). Her license is governed by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. Kendra offers virtual counseling services in the state of Texas. Kendra chose to pursue a career in counseling with children, teens, & young adults due to personal experiences that occurred during her childhood. Kendra provides therapy to clients ages 6 to 24 years old. Her goal is to help children/teens & young adults remove barriers such as mental illness & trauma to help give them a healthy foundation to accomplish their goals throughout life despite their current circumstances. Kendra aims to serve as a reminder to youth that a positive life after pain & frustration is possible with the right tools & coping skills. Her goal is to remind clients that their strength & value comes from within. Kendra believes in forming a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients to help them take an active role in their healing. Although she utilizes various therapy models to best address clients’ concerns, Kendra describes herself as an attachment-based therapist with a belief that the relationship that infants/children have with their primary caregivers is the foundation of relationships that they will have with others throughout their adulthood. Kendra’s goal is to help clients build or rebuild healthy attachment styles that will allow them to form healthy emotional & physical relationships as adults. Kendra has lived in Denton, Texas since 2014. She enjoys painting, reading, & listening to music. Kendra describes her personality as non-judgmental, empathetic, & warm. She enjoys meeting people from all walks of life & enjoys learning about other peoples’ perspectives & experiences.
